No I won’t, due to the constraint of time preparing for my exams and coming internship. Hopefully my application to my desired MNC goes through. But enough from me, here’s a shout out for Anime Festival Asia 2009.

As revealed, there’ll be the I love Anisong concept concert, I’m guessing similar to the lines of Animelo. I’ll only really miss out Fukuyama. Those who were not lucky enough to catch May’n live, or worst still, unable to catch Aniki live last year, here’s your second chance! Shoko-tan would do great for her silly live panels, but I wouldn’t really stay long for her songs. XD

Danny Choo will also be over, and hopefully together with his stormtrooper antics.

That said, anyone from Kuching who’s interested to go, but are afraid to go alone, I do have some contacts going over who won’t mind to have some people tag along; lower cost, extra fun. Leave a comment (with your e-mail) here if you want to find out more. But from my side, I’ll be missing this round’s AFA. No pity for the working people.

It’s been an interesting few weeks for the cosplay scene in Kuching. I attended both Boulevard’s CosVention and Sarawak Plaza’s Cosplay Competition, as an assistant and a spectator respectively. I’m quite impressed with the improvement of variety in the cosplay that was done during both events, however there’s still much to be said about the standards of quality. Both events have raised discussions and issues about the cosplay situation in Kuching. However, there’s no tangible benefit in comparing these two events, so I’ll get into the gist of my story.

Hey guys, there’s going to be another cosplay competition. Quick pimpage for the organizers, the competition’s 2pm-5pm tomorrow (Sunday) @ Sarawak Plaza ground floor. I will be around to take a quick sneak peak, and if I’m not too lazy, I’ll put up a write up on the event.

Expect to see some familiar faces from the Boulevard competition as well!
