There are times where waiting patiently at your favourite Japanese figure retailer really pays off. Thanks to my pal Ryu, I got an order through for the first release. Char Rhousemann, third in the Shuraki Trinity series by Good Smile Company, makes another outstanding statement for bunch of warrior girls so far.
Char has a great pose. The sword held high over her head, the outstretched arm and the sweeping dress highlights a very threatening challenge to any of her opponents. However, pal Ngumbang pointed out that some may not like her upper torso being projected outwards, which produces an illusion that the figure is bending forwards.
I applaud Good Smile and Red Entertainment’s effort in creating a story that could revolve around the Shuraki figures. Shows how much marketing research they have done. Haven’t listened to the Drama CDs yet, but I expect good stuff, as Tamura Yukari voices Char, and Nana Mizuki is in as well.
Good Smile did a great job in the paint job as usual. I especially love the flowing reds on her dress. Only thing that looks out of place is her underwear, the colour I mean… I assume that the contrast was meant to be sexy or something along those lines. However, I’m sure everyone loves a peak or two XD
Casting her off was pretty easy compared to Fauna or Ignis. Her joints are a bit hard to get together, and do seem shaky. I only had one other problem which I will mention later.
As you can see below, pal Ngumbang and I could not get the dress clasps to fit together, even with much effort. I’ll probably find a way to fit that in some other time.
The battle fatigue outfit idea of the Shuraki series is really a stroke of genius by the Good Smile team. Customary panty shot below.
Included are the usual Shuraki goodies: a full colour illustration handbook as well as the Drama CD. By the way, hope you guys and gals won’t mind the fingers.
I rate Char Rhousemann as a recommended figure to get. Her pose a major attraction for me, and I almost forgot, her eyes as well. Those blue blonde eyes are as great as they can get. For those who are worried they’re spending too much one a 1/8th scale model, Char’s good sculpt and extra goodies should justify her 6k price tag. Sad to say, most shops have her out of stock. Hopefully, Good Smile continues their trend of re-releasing the Shuraki set. I’m looking forward to my next Shuraki which is coming soon!

The Shuraki series are all very nice ^^
But I’m more attracting to Aria @.@ hehe..
pretty pictures
definitely a must buy figurine, the problem is that it’s quite hard to get this figurine with decent price now :p
@Ryu: yours is coming soon
@rollakid: light blue looks mightily sexier i guess
@Serene: get your Aria then XD
@ron~: i went to look around, and the best price i could get is from a local retailer. let’s patiently wait till GSC announces a new batch of these.
Yeah…even the main dress was hard enough to get inside and putting it back makes it feels rather threatening.
As for the damage battle costume, was another issue. Is like…it doesn’t fit in well.
However, I still give a rating of 8.9 for this figure. Not because of the package or anything but in terms of details and paint jobs are very well done. I like what they did with dress. Looks as if it has nice coating on it.
The base stand was practical by providing and extra support. So as the neck where they inserted a metal support in order to make sure her head stays well.
A great pick item of the year R4in. For you collectors out there, big fan of Shurakis, she is not to be miss in order to complete your collection on the shelves.
I’m getting the first two boxes for myself…not that soon…^^.
It’s such a pity that I never collect figurines but I do enjoy swooning at the figurines that are on blogs. Heh. That said, this figurine is really cool because just from the photos, I can see quite a bit of detail has been placed on the figurine itself.
I must admit I am not very familiar with the series though X_X
I could have love this character only because Yukari Tamura voices her. But no! She also has such an awesome look! Char is just… woho
I just got mine today,very happy! Paint Job was nicely done every thing about the figure rocks. But there are weird looking stain on the left arms which was hidden by her clothes. ANd i kept playing with her hand i think that now her arms are abit kinda loose. ><
ANyway, i wil stop playing with her and wait for my re-run akatsuki to arrive!!!
Yeay, and thanks for the eneak peak photos!
@Ngumbang: Hopefully yours comes fast
@Impz: I’m also not too familiar with the series itself. Will need to listen to the Drama CDs to understand the story.
@lu-k: Awesome Char Yukari Tamura = Epic Win!
@Sinkales: You’re welcome ^^
